How to Get Started
Pilates is best practiced consistently two to three times a week in order to reap its full benefits. We make it easy to get started by having no membership fees or contracts and offer several options for you to begin your Pilates workouts.
Private Sessions
These one-on-one sessions are designed to give you a feel for the Pilates method by experiencing exercises on all pieces of equipment. At the same time, your instructor will have the opportunity to learn about your strengths and weaknesses and understand your goals.
Semi-Private Lessons
Pair up with a spouse, friend, co-worker, or let us pair you up with another person with the same abilities. In these semi-private sessions, you’ll get a feel for the Pilates Method by experiencing exercises on all pieces of equipment.
Group Equipment Classes
Our most popular format to practice Pilates at Pilates of Marin! Most people start with a few private or semi-private sessions or taking a few group mat classes. Or, do you know 2 or 3 people that would like to take classes with you? We can form a new class just for you!
